Céramiste depuis 2008, je suis installée dans la campagne bretonne non loin de La Gacilly.
Mon travail s'inscrit dans une démarche de recherche d'émaux de cendres et de shino*. Je façonne à la main et au tour de potier des objets de thé inspirés d'Asie.
Mes céramiques sont cuites au bois dans un four de type Phoenix*, cuisson haute température (1300 °C).
Voici mon univers.

*Email shino: Le Shino est un émail inventé au Japon au 16ème siècle. Sa spécificité tient au fait qu’il a la faculté de révéler des couleurs très différentes en fonction de son épaisseur et peut donc passer d’un orange vif à un blanc neigeux sur la même pièce.

*Four Phoenix Olsen: Le four Phœnix est d'origine américaine,il monte à 1300° C avec un minimum de combustible. Ce four compact est très homogène, la flamme bouclée le traverse en diagonale.

I have been a ceramicist since 2008 and am based in the Breton countryside, not far from La Gacilly.
My work is part of an exploration of ash glazes and shino glazes*. I hand-build and wheel-throw Asian-inspired tea ware.
My ceramics are wood-fired in a Phoenix-type kiln*, at a high temperature (1300 °C).
This is my world.

*Shino glaze: Shino is a glaze invented in Japan in the 16th century. Its distinctive feature is that it reveals very different colours depending on its thickness and can therefore range from a bright orange to a snow-white on the same piece.

*Phoenix Olsen kiln: The Phoenix kiln is of American origin; it reaches 1300°C using a minimum amount of fuel. This compact kiln is very uniform, with the curling flame passing diagonally through it.
